Shipping Policy

At Play-Ed Zone, we're excited to help you bring quality educational toys to your little ones! We are committed to ensuring your order reaches you safely, quickly, and ready for playtime, anywhere in South Africa.​

1. Delivery Areas

We currently ship all our educational toys and products exclusively within South Africa. We do not offer international shipping at this time.

 

2. Order Processing Time


Once your order is placed and payment is confirmed, our team will carefully prepare and pack your items.


Orders are typically processed and dispatched within 1-2 business days (Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays).


You will receive an email notification once your order has been dispatched.

3. Estimated Delivery Times


Delivery times depend on your location within South Africa, starting from the day your order is dispatched:

  • Main City Centres (e.g., Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, Pretoria): Expect delivery within 2-5 business days.

  • Outlying or Rural Areas: Expect delivery within 7-10 business days.

 

Please Note:

 

  • Public holidays and weekends are not considered business days for processing or delivery. While we strive for prompt delivery, unforeseen delays (e.g., peak seasons, extreme weather, courier disruptions) can occasionally occur.

  • We appreciate your understanding in such rare instances.


4. Shipping Costs


Shipping fees are calculated based on the total weight of your order and your specific delivery location within South Africa.

You will see the exact shipping cost clearly displayed at checkout before you finalise your payment. This ensures full transparency with no hidden fees.


5. Order Tracking

Once your educational toys are on their way, you will receive a tracking number via email, SMS, or WhatsApp. This message will also include a link to our courier partner's tracking page, allowing you to monitor the journey of your parcel in real-time.

6. Delivery & Receiving Your Order

 

  • Availability for Delivery: Please ensure that someone is available at the provided delivery address to receive and sign for your parcel.

  • Missed Deliveries: If no one is available to receive the delivery, our courier partner will typically attempt to contact you to arrange a second delivery. If the second attempt is unsuccessful, the parcel may be held at a local depot for collection or returned to us. Additional re-delivery charges may apply in such cases.

  • Inspection upon Arrival: We encourage you to carefully inspect your package upon delivery. If you notice any visible damage to the packaging, please make a note of it with the courier and inform us immediately.

 

7. Incorrect Shipping Details

 

It is crucial to double-check your delivery address before completing your order. We cannot be held responsible for delays, misdeliveries, or losses that occur as a result of incorrect or incomplete shipping information provided by the customer. If a parcel is returned to us due to an incorrect address, you may be responsible for re-shipping costs.


8. Damaged or Lost Shipments

 

  • Damaged in Transit: If your order arrives damaged, please take clear photos of the damaged packaging and items, and contact us within 48 hours of delivery. We will work swiftly with the courier to resolve the issue and arrange for a replacement or refund.

  • Lost in Transit: If your order has not arrived within the estimated delivery timeframes and tracking shows no progress, please contact us. We will launch an investigation with the courier to locate your parcel. Please allow 5-10 business days for investigations to be completed before a resolution (replacement or refund) can be offered.
